Larva Black Soldier Fly (BSF) spesies Hermetia illucens mengandung nutrisi protein yang berpotensi menjadi sumber pakan alternatif hewan peliharaan ramah lingkungan, berkelanjutan, dan memiliki komposisi ideal. Namun, laporan penggunaannya masih belum diketahui sebagai bahan kucing. Uji palatabilitas komersial dengan penambahan tepung maggot bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya terima dikonsumsi. dilakukan metode monadik atau single bowl pada kucing domestik jantan dalam dua tahap, adaptasi pemberian uji empat kelompok perlakuan (0,25%, 50%, 75%) maggot, masing-masing terdiri dari 3 ekor Hasil pengujian diperoleh jumlah konsumsi harian cara diberikan dikurangi sisa pakan. penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan nyata (P>0,05) P1 119±15,36 (g/hari) 204±26,31 (kkal/hari) kebutuhan harian.
